Hartford Historic Preservation Commission

The Hartford Historical Preservation Commission has published brochures for each of our 7 Historic Districts [listed below]. copies are available at the Municipal Building , Planning Dept. Signs marking the entrances of each district are being installed as funding is available.

Christian Street Rural Historic District, Hartford Village Historic District, Jericho Rural Historic District, Quechee Mill Historic District, West Hartford Historic District, White River Junction Historic District and Wilder Historic District.

The current project is a barn census.  A future project will be the establishment of a Historic District in the oldest section of the Terraces in White River Junction.

WANTED:  Memories of Hartford school days.  We are hoping to obrtain copies/photos of photos, programs, memories of students, teachers, staff, etc. class trips, sports, the buildings, school calendars, programs for plays, graduations, etc..... If you would like to share your school memories [do you have a scrapbook?] with us, please contact Pat at 295-3077 weekdays. We can scan or copy them and return to you within a week or less [usually].
